• Background

          Linden was born to a pair of riders at Igen. His life was mostly unremarkable, though as the eldest of five siblings he was often the one to take care of the younger children. He patched up quite a few minor bumps and bruises growing up which eventually led to Linden apprenticing with the Healers. He spent some time journeying between different Holds and Weyrs for his training.          At age 24 Linden fell in love with a man while stationed at High Reaches Weyr. Said man later went on to Impress a black dragon. In a moment of folly, the couple let their emotions get the better of them and the dragonet attacked Linden. He was punished severely while the weyrling pair received very few consequences.          Linden eventually transferred to Ista where he drowned himself in work. In the year 3118 he was unable to save Riad’s child and this weighed heavily on his mind. Neither of these incidents was ever disclosed to his family. Only Lai is aware.          In the turn 3119, Linden met Alaiedon at Ista Weyr and swiftly fell in love. Too swiftly really. That same year Lai impressed Nixcyath and the trio left to join The Night Watch.          Over the next several turns Linden continued to work as a physician and surgeon for members of The Night Watch. Eventually, he was able to expand his medical knowledge to assist with dragonkin as well.

Personality: Linden is a generally laid-back individual, though his relationships with most people are superficial. To those he has become close to his dedication and loyalty are unwavering. There is one individual he holds above all else - Lai. His past holds some darkness that occasionally bubbles to the surface and as a result he will push himself harder which sometimes leads to overwork.
Scar: Large gnarled scars mar Linden’s muscled back, remnants of an injury many turns ago from a dragonet.

There is, I've found, an oak up on a hill.
